Are you ready for Kingman to become a major destination?

Rickety Cricket Brewing Company, subject of a Jim Hinckley’s America Adventurers Club program, has been receiving numerous awards.
ready for this delightful city to become a place people want to visit, a town where people want to live, to raise a family, to open a business, and to retire? If so, this is going to be a very exciting year.
A new Hilton hotel will be opening shortly. Another hotel will be breaking ground before the end of the year. Kingman’s microbreweries, Rickety Cricket and Black Bridge Brewery, have both produced award winning beers. Rickety Cricket recently won accolades in an international pizza competition. Desert Diamond Distillery continues to receive awards for their quality products. All of this translates into media coverage which in turn equals an increase in visitors.
The Promote Kingman initiative and the related “promote” social media network (Promote Havasu, Promote Bullhead, and Promote Route 66) created by MyMarketing Designs will soon be linked to two major promotional endeavors with the result being the largest marketing network in northwestern Arizona and in the Colorado River Valley. First is The Bee, formerly the Bullhead City Bee, which has been fully revamped to include a new website with travel and leisure section, and expanded to become a county wide news source. Second is Kingman Tourism, an exciting new initiative that will have a a social media presence as well as expansive website (kingmantourism.com) that will be tied into the “promote” network.
Further magnification of Kingman area promotion and marketing will be accomplished by expanding the limited partnership with internationally acclaimed author Jim Hinckley and his Jim Hinckley’s America network. Funded through the support of sponsors and subscribers to his premium content site, the weekly Adventurers Club Facebook live program co hosted with artist Gregg Arnold had an international reach of more than 78,000 people in 2017, and is on track to exceed an audience of 100,000 people this year.
Hinckley has arranged for creation of an international booth at the Texas Welcomes the World Route 66 festival in Shamrock, Texas, and the second European Route 66 Festival in Zlin, Czech Republic. This coupled with presentations on Route 66 in the southwest made by the author will provide the city of Kingman and area businesses with tremendous international exposure. Kingman Chevrolet Buick, seeing the value in this opportunity, is sponsoring airfare for Hinckley’s travel to Europe. Sponsors and subscription to the premium content site will fund the cost of remaining expenses.
An audition video that highlights the Jim Hinckley/Gregg Arnold chemistry from the weekly Facebook live programs was created by Tommy Perez of Imperfection Studios in Kingman for consideration of a morning program with KFLG radio. Hinckley is also in discussion pertaining to development of a program that would air on an internet station.
Travis Lingenfelter, working through MyMarketing Designs, has created a line of products, The Kingman Life, that will brand Kingman through t-shirts, coffee mugs, tote bags and other merchandise. These will be sold through The Kingman Life website, at select stores in the Kingman area, and the online gift shop at Kingman Tourism.
The First Friday events are being expanded and promoted in the Colorado River Valley, Las Vegas, Phoenix, and Flagstaff, and through the “promote” network as well as through Jim Hinckley’s America. Likewise with Chillin’ on Beale, and other special events in the historic business district including the Promtoe Kingman walking tours. People traveled from Lake Havasu City, and Las Vegas, Nevada, to participate in the most recent walking tour, and indication of their popularity.
Desert Wonder Tours & Trips, a new company in Kingman, will provide visitors with an array of opportunities to experience Kingman. From custom tours to package adventures that include Desert Diamond Distillery, Grand Canyon Caverns, Oatman, Route 66 and the historic business district this represents an incredible marketing opportunity for the city.
This is the year. This is the year that Kingman becomes a destination. This is the year that Kingman is transformed.
