In January of 2016, the Route 66 Association of Kingman, in partnership with Legacy Signs, launched an ambitious plan for transforming the historic business district into a neon lit wonderland with the acquisition, restoration, and installation of historic signage.
That project is about to become the topic of discussion with automobile and Route 66 enthusiasts throughout the world.
Working with the Graves family, owners of the circa 1915 Old Trails Garage on Andy Devine Avenue (Route 66), a 1930 era Packard sign, twelve feet in height, was recently recovered from the garage where it had been stored for more than six decades. Refurbished by Legacy Signs, this rare automotive treasure will again soon light the night. Plans are for the sign to be reinstalled on the garage once facade renovations are completed.
